Everyday Tech Got Smaller
A 2000s backpack could carry a music player, wired headphones, handheld game device, notebooks, chargers, and maybe a small camera. Today, one phone can replace almost all of them. Music, games, camera, notes, maps, messages, and videos now live inside one device. The strange thing is that old gadgets still feel special because each one had a clear purpose. Seeing them scattered beside a modern tablet and wireless earbuds makes the change obvious. Technology did not just improve; it combined, shrank, and quietly removed half the things we used to carry.
