Middle Eastern Hummus Scoop
In many Middle Eastern meals, hummus is not usually eaten with a spoon. Instead, people tear pieces of pita bread and use them to scoop the creamy dip from a shared plate. The movement looks simple, but there is a small skill to it. The bread has to hold the hummus, olive oil, spices, and sometimes chickpeas without breaking. For someone used to individual plates, the shared style may feel different at first. But it makes the meal more relaxed, social, and full of flavor.
